Testriono is the inaugural Lentera Study Fellow at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) Kyoto University, Japan. He teaches political science and public policy at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII). He also serves as a researcher at the Center for the Study of Islam and Society (PPIM), Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
