Climate change has globally imposed unprecedented impacts on the countries in the Global South. Brunei Darussalam has now been taking new steps forward to cope with the climate changes.
Meredian Alam
Meredian Alam is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Sociology and Anthropology Department, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. His key research interests include environmental initiatives and environmentalism among youths in Asia. He obtained the Research Higher Degree Excellence Award for his doctoral dissertation from the University of Newcastle Australia, and M.Phil in Culture, Environment and Sustainability from Centre for Development and the Environment, University of Oslo Norway. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Geoforum, International Sociology, International Review of Sociology, and Indonesia and the Malay World. He has also published book chapters in Palgrave MacMillan and Routledge.
